Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 489, Grass and Weeds
Letter to Mayor J. Tory - October 5, 2020
Sent by Donnelly Law on behalf of our client, who is a leading authority on ecological design and landscape planning. For growing a carefully curated natural garden which provides important habitat for Toronto’s pollinators, our client was accused by the City of Toronto of violating the Grass and Weeds By-law. Our opinion is that sections of the By-law are unconstitutional, void for vagueness, and unenforceable.
